Do your clients always know exactly what kind of business they want to start before they come to you?
Not always. We find that our clients fall into three categories:
Seasoned entrepreneurs who want grow their current business or expand into new areas.
Budding entrepreneurs who are ready to get started. They have an idea of what they want their new business venture to be but need assistance getting started.
Aspiring entrepreneurs who have multiple ideas, and need help fleshing them out.
What is the difference between coaching and consulting?
Simply put, coaching is about growing the person, the business owner, from the inside out. Coaching helps you to determine goals, create a realistic plan, and be held accountable for taking action. While your coach might offer insight, the primary purpose of coaching is to empower YOU to learn how to create the business of your dreams.
Consulting brings the expertise of the consultant into the mix. A consultant offers information, advice, brainstorming and training. Look for a consultant who has achieved what you want to achieve, someone who is willing to share all their knowledge, wisdom and practical tips with you.
How do I know if I need coaching, consulting, or both?
You need a coach if you want help:
organizing your thoughts
creating a practical and effective plan
prioritizing goals and tasks
being more accountable for following through on tasks
maintaining high motivation even in the face of difficulties
You need a consultant if you want to:
receive advice and ideas for process improvement
understand the basics of business planning and marketing
learn business and marketing skills quickly
find ways to manage and follow-up on your business success
How long will the process take?
The length of time is determined by the package you choose, as well as how responsive you are with providing certain information.
How much will it cost to get my business started?
The costs for business start-up can vary. A few factors to consider are location, home vs. rented office space, equipment needs, business loans, and the types of services you will provide.
